**Job Title: Solar Technician (Contract Role)** **3 Month Project** **$30/HR + $100 Per Diem** **Job Description** We are seeking experienced Solar Technicians for a temporary 3-month project. This role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support for Soltec solar tracking systems and general solar site operations. You will conduct thorough inspections of solar panels to identify issues, determine corrective actions, perform necessary repairs, and document findings to support root cause analysis. **Responsibilities** + Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on Soltec solar tracking systems, including diagnostics, motor/driver replacement, adjustments, and calibration. + Troubleshoot and repair solar inverters, with preference for experience with Sungrow, electrical components, motors, drives, and tracking equipment. + Conduct mechanical repairs using torque wrenches, power tools, and precision instruments. + Support routine and non-routine maintenance across plant systems, including HV/MV/LV electrical equipment. + Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA standards. **Essential Skills** + Hands-on experience with Soltec solar tracking systems maintenance and troubleshooting. + Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, including familiarity with industrial electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, and diagnostic tools. + Ability to work safely and effectively with medium and low voltage equipment. + Skilled in using torque tools and troubleshooting mechanical systems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + OSHA 10 Certification + Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions + Reliable and safety-focused mindset + CAT 2 minimum FR long-sleeve shirts and pants **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge solar technology. Proper protective clothing is required, ensuring adherence to safety standards. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Kirksville, MO. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
