About the Role
The Company is in search of a Global Chief Medical Officer to lead its clinical development team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the company's mission to discover, develop, and manufacture transformative cell therapies for patients with cancer, autoimmune, and other serious diseases. This pivotal role involves overseeing the global clinical development strategy, ensuring the safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance of innovative therapies, and shaping the clinical vision for the company's pipeline. The Global CMO will be responsible for leading the execution of clinical trials, providing strategic direction for clinical teams, and acting as a key clinical resource in interactions with regulatory agencies. Additionally, the role requires a strong focus on team development, collaboration with external stakeholders, and a commitment to scientific leadership and innovation in the field of cell and gene therapy. Candidates for the Global CMO position at the company should hold an MD or MD/PhD with a specialization in oncology, immunology, hematology, or a related field, and have at least 15 years of experience in clinical development, particularly in cell and gene therapy or advanced biologics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading successful clinical programs from Phase I to commercialization, with experience in both US and Chinese markets. Deep knowledge of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and GxP compliance is essential. The role also demands direct leadership experience in global clinical operations, strong regulatory experience, and the ability to manage complex, multinational clinical trials. A strategic mindset, strong operational expertise, and exceptional communication skills are required, with fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin being a plus. The Global CMO will be expected to be a thought leader in the field, with the ability to represent the company at scientific and medical events, and to collaborate with commercial and medical affairs teams on product launch strategies and market access.
